Pancakes 5th Feb 18

As it is Shrove Tuesday over half term, we chose to make pancakes this week.

To make this easier, on the day we used a packet mix, and then ate our pancakes during club time. Who wants to eat reheated pancakes anyway? We were even joined for the session by Mrs Capindale who managed to get her own pancake.

However, a simple recipe for pancakes is:

100g plain flour

2 large eggs

300ml milk

Mix all ingredients together, pour enough to cover a frying pan with a thin layer of oil, and cook through, flipping over when required to cook both sides.

We then served pancakes with a choice of berries, bananas, chocolate spread, marshmallows, squirty cream, jam, sugar and lemon juice.

Concoctions included.

Berries and squirty cream – Mrs Clarkson

Chocolate spread and marshmallows – most of the children.

Sugar and lemon juice – Mrs Capindale
