The P.E. and Sport Premium funding is additional funding given to publicly funded primary-age schools to assist schools improve the quality of the P.E. and sports activities they are able to offer their pupils. The amount of funding any school receives is dependent on how many pupils are eligible for the funding based on data from the January 2017 school census.
The Federation is provided with a lump sum with additional funding on a per-pupil basis depending on the number of eligible pupils on-roll for the January census. The Head of Federation and the governing body then decides how the money is used to support the children’s sports and P.E. activities.
All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received, how it is used and the impact of the work undertaken.
